🌺 About the Artist

Whitney Simmons – Founder of Tropical Epoxy & Vibe and Flow Studio

"For as long as I can remember, I’ve been creating.

Before I ever truly understood what art was, I was already immersed in it—cutting, gluing, drawing, painting, photographing, building anything I could imagine. Crafting was my safe place. Art class became my playground. Photography became my lens for storytelling. Creativity was never just a pastime—it was how I connected with the world and with myself.

As I grew older, life led me down other professional paths, but the artist in me never left. It waited quietly, growing stronger with every moment I spent helping others, imagining new projects, and dreaming of a place where creativity could be shared.

That dream became much more real after a serious hand injury I experienced in 2021. Suddenly, the things I took for granted—like using my hands to create—were in jeopardy. That accident became a turning point. It made me realize how fleeting ability can be, and how important it is to follow your calling while you still can. From that moment on, I knew I had to stop waiting—and start building.

That’s when Tropical Epoxy was born.

Today, I get to combine my lifelong love of art with something that fills my heart even more—teaching others. There’s nothing like watching someone light up as they pour their first canvas, swirl their first wave of resin, or create something they never thought they could. I live for those moments of joy, surprise, and confidence that bloom on people’s faces when they realize they made that.

At Tropical Epoxy and Vibe and Flow Studio, I’ve created the space I always dreamed of—a vibrant, welcoming place where people of all ages and backgrounds can relax, reconnect with their creative side, and make something meaningful.

Art has always been a part of my life.
Now, I’m honored to help it become a part of yours."
